LOCATION

Domaine de La Sanglière is renowned for its unique location of having close proximity to the sea while still being nestled against the hillsides and natural mountain terrains of Provence. The winery is situated on the historical site of Fort Brégançon and the land is protected by the Conservatoire du Littoral.

HISTORY

Domaine de La Sanglière was established in 1980 by Francis Devictor, an agricultural engineer who decided to settle in Provence with a vision to create the highest quality wines. Today, Francis Devictor’s son, Remy Devictor, carries on his father’s success into the next generation as the operator and winemaker of Domaine de La Sanglière.

TERROIR

What gives Breezette a magnificently unique taste profile is its vineyards’ close in proximity to the sea. The estate enjoys a microclimate with daily sea breezes sweeping delicately across the property avoiding harsh winters and risk of frost as well as a temperament of the summer heat.

The vineyards for Domaine de La Sanglière stretch over 40 hectares of land, all of which enjoy a rich schistes soil. The grapes from the vines are carefully selected to meet the highest qualifications of Côtes de Provence wine classification. The incredibly aromatic wines consist of the following grapes: Syrah, Grenache and Cinsault.
